Orphan Satuski Kakeru's life is uplifted by his loving childhood friend Yuka. Suddenly they are thrown into an alternate dimension called the Red Night, where they encounter gruesome monsters. Flickering between their world and the Red, Kakeru vows to somehow protect Yuka from the dangers they face.
