On the night of the Tanabata Star Festival, Mikuru transports Kyon back in time to the possible source of what caused Haruhi to search for aliens, time travelers, and ESPers. Then during the last two weeks of summer vacation, Haruhi leads the brigade in many dizzying activities. It appears to be just déjà vu, but suspecting they're repeating everything over and over again, Kyon searches for a way to end it.
